Firstly, I would like to start by introducing myself as Darren Stokes CEO of the program MPP — Make Pain Pay.

MPP is an online program which I'd created while serving time in prison. This program has been designed to self-medicate one's mental health, ie:- Depression, Anxiety and many more.

MPP is a 6 months program was developed to target and suppres one's mental health by investing 2 hours each day to write your own book, hence, conducting an healthy life.

MPP is a 6 months program designed to relax one's mind by expression as you will seperate yourself from the chaos for 2 hours each day which will de-stress you as you would have distracted your negative emotions by concentrating on your own project your own book.

I have structured this 6 months program with the intention for you to achieve two things; a better mental health and writing your own book.

MPP Visuals

I will take this opportunity to take you through a step-by-step break down on how to write your book providing you with five steps.

Step 1: An idea
​This could be anything from the good times in your life or the bad times but choose a particular subject and write it down, I chose school.

Step 2: Brainstorming
​Brain storm your ideas for example my school duration from the first year to the fith year.

Step 3: Start writing
Start writing from the first to the fight year

Step 4: Edit 
Once you've finished writing your book, go back over it. Edit where necessary by shortening your word count by getting to the point or you may have missed something out and would like to add.

Step 5: Title it
Once you have completed your book you can name it then do as you please.

I will take you through a step-by-step daily recommendation on MPP's healthy life.

Step 1: Sleeping
A regular sleeping pattern, you are aiming for eight hours each day.

Step 2: Exercise
Daily exercise, you're aiming for one hour exercise each day out in the fresh air, this could be walking or running.

Step 3: Cleaning
Keep your home and person clean. Staying on top of your daily chores, bills and appointment, etc.

Step 4: Diet
Health diet. MPP provide a menu of health jamaican food.

With the combination of both task's, ie:- writing your own book and conducting a healthy life by combining both tasks will reward you with two things, the first is a better mental health and the second is the achievement of writing your own book.

My concept of MPP make pain pay had came to mind one day when I took a step back and acknowledge all of the hard work I'd achieved from writing while serving time in prison. It was at this point, sat there in my cell the MPP concept Make Pain Pay came to mind. Being locked behind a cell door up to 24 hours a day can affect one's mental health. 

However, I thought to myself if I don't make this time pay this time will make me pay, irrespectively I chose the first option to make pain pay.

Mental Health affect each one of us in some way or form at one stage or another in life. Therefore, equipping oneself with the right tool to protect to protect your mental health is paramount as without any tools life dilemma and stresses can keep you down.

Nevertheless, this is where I come into play as I would like to explain the power of pain and wahat you can achieve if you use it to your benefit.

The Power Of Pain

Pain is define as a sensory, an emotional experience not an emotion. However, when you endure this experience you should embrace it. Take it as a blessing rather than allowing the pain to make you dysfunctional and depressed.

I would like to stress that if you are someone suffering from mental gealth disorder MPP providing you with the tools to navigate your negative situation into something positive as whatever it is you going through your pain is the best energy to fuel a project which will equal a better mental health.

The HLS Healthy Lifestyle 28 days program provides clear instruction on how to achieve a better mental health within 28 days.

Step 1 - Make Notes

Make a list of 5 things each night before you go to sleep.

Make a list of things you need to do the following day for example: 

  1. Pay your phone bill

  2. Contact your GP

  3. Clean out your house

  4. Aims at least one hour meditation

  5. Go shopping

The following day pursue your list and cross them off as you accomplished your goals.

Step 2 - Sleep

We are aiming for 8 hours sleep each night and a consistent sleep pattern for example, go to bed at 10 pm and wake up by 6.00 am every day.

Step 3 - Exercise

Get up at 6.00 am & leave the house without touching any electrical devices, exercise for one hour this is healthy behaviour is beneficial for your Health and part of a health lifestyle.
